Details about the Destination

Bhimashankar is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga and sacred place. Bhimashankar is located in the village Bhorgiri in the ghat region of the Sahyadri range. Situated at an height of around 3,250 feet, Bhimashankar is surrounded by hills and is covered by thick green rainforests. Legend has it that the name Bhimashankar was originated from the river Bhima which evaporated due to the generated between the war of Lord Shiva and the demon Tripurasura. It is considered to be one of the holiest places in India because of the jyotirlinga. Bhimashankar is also a popular destination for trekkers. Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary is another important reason why people come here

Day 1

• 09:30 AM : Meet-up, freshen up & Breakfast
• 10:00 AM : Move towards the base village in local transport
• 11:00 AM : Reach base village, ready for trek
• 04:30 PM : Reach top, Take rest for some time in Local home
• 06:00 PM : Visit Bhimashankar Temple
• 08:30 PM : Dinner Time
• 10:30 PM : Sleep Time

Day 2

• 06:30 AM : Wake up call & freshn up
• 08:00 AM : After Breakfast Start descend back to the base Village
• 01:00 PM : Reach Base Village and Start the return Journey towards Karjat Railway Station
• 02:00 PM : Reach Karjat/Neral station and take a return train to Mumbai
• 04:00 PM : Reach Mumbai and bid adieu with a promise to meet soon

• Good trekking shoes preferably Campus brand - Trekking Shoes

• Windcheater, scarves, jackets, extra pair of socks and clothes
• Avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery

• Transfer Rs.1700/- per person. Payment once done is non-refundable, do check for availability before making a payment.

• Carry enough water with you and do not resort to any other water source without any assistance

• Floaters and sandals are not allowed
• Do not carry purse, side sling bags not allowed
• Eco-Tourism etiquettes to be followed. Trek is in the Eco / culturally -sensitive area
• Do not litter the place as it is in great need of being maintained and adopted
• Leader/ Organizer will not be responsible for any accident, mishap or compensation in whatsoever manner
• We should strictly follow the code of conduct, to avoid troubling our fellow trekkers or other people from our group or even locals
• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited
• Trek leader’s decision will be final and binding
